“While the full, lasting implications of the COVID-19 pandemic have yet to be seen, changes in consumer buying preferences and decisions are already being identified,” said Kay Johnson Smith, Animal Agriculture Alliance (AAA) president and CEO in a release.

The 2022 Animal Agriculture Alliance Stakeholders Summit intends to highlight these changes in consumer purchasing patterns. The summit will bring together a variety of leaders and speakers in the agriculture and food communities on May 11-12 in Kansas City, Mo.

Maeve Webster of Menu Matters and Danette Amstein of Midan Marketing will share their expertise on the future of the food chain. They will highlight current consumer trends and provide actionable insights to discuss how the animal agriculture community can keep consumers top of mind and continue to evolve and adapt storytelling into their repertoire, AAA said in a release.

Webster, president of Menu Matters, brings over 20 years of related study and consultancy experience. Trends, markets and consumer behavior, along with product testing and menu and brand optimization all fall within Webster’s scope of interest.

Co-founder of Midan Marketing, Danette Amstein, helps develop and carry out the strategic direction and vision for Midan, developing team members to achieve their full potential while helping Midan clients – and America’s farmers and ranchers – achieve long-term viability. She serves the meat community as a well-respected speaker, writer and thought leader.

Smith encourages all animal agriculture advocates be informed of the changes and trends to better connect with the post-pandemic consumer. The upcoming summit, themed “Come Together for Animal Ag: Be Informed, Be Ready, Be Here,” will make connections across the food chain while engaging producers and influencers to protect the future of animal agriculture.

Preconference webinars will lead up to the main event and both in-person and virtual attendance options are available for the summit.
