Alltech Opens First Organic Mineral Production Facility in Vietnam

Alltech’s eighth mineral production facility worldwide is also its first organic mineral production facility, located in Vietnam. The plant’s production capacity reaches 7,000 metric tons per year, has the potential to create 100 new jobs and will serve both local customers and support import and export activity.

Supported by more than 21 years of research, Alltech’s “Bioplex” minerals aim to offer higher bioavailability than inorganic minerals. The minerals are readily absorbed, stored and utilized by the animal, while supporting overall health, immune status and reproductive function, a release states. Better utilization also means producers can achieve more with less.

The facility in Vietnam follows Alltech’s purpose of reducing the environmental impact of production and has been equipped to produce less nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide emissions, reduce wastewater and save electricity.
