Flavia Roppa, CEO of the United Pork Americas, is no stranger to the host city of this new event. She has lived in Orlando for the past five years and has insider information on the best spots to visit.
1 – Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse Orlando
“You can have a very good sampling of Brazilian meats and as much of it as you’d like,” Roppa says. “And the meat is completely different from the U.S. They use minimal seasoning to highlight the natural flavors of the different cuts of meat, so it’s a natural recommendation for anyone who likes meat.”
2 – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
“Animal Kingdom is my favorite of all the parks because you can go see the animals there,” Roppa says.
3 – Universal Studios
“If you like roller coasters, I suggest going to Universal because they have a new one, the VelociCoaster, and it’s incredible,” Roppa says.
4 – Winter Garden
“Take a 30-minute drive from the hotel to Winter Garden, Fla.,” Roppa says. “It’s a very nice little city that’s beautiful. They have a beer factory that’s very nice, as well as a few nice restaurants and a train station where you can go and walk around.
5 – Wekiwa Springs State Park
“It’s very nice to go and enjoy a day in a beautiful area,” Roppa says. “You can kayak and have a lot of fun. It’s a very unique thing here in Florida, and when people come to Orlando, they normally focus on the theme parks and miss it.”
6 – Sports games
“A bonus one is to go see Orlando City for a soccer game or Orlando Magic for a basketball game,” Roppa says.
However you slice it, there are many things to do in Orlando. Register for United Pork Americas, bring the family and enjoy everything Orlando has to offer.
