The time has come again to look ahead to the 2023 World Pork Expo. As an industry, we have much to be excited about and to celebrate our accomplishments. Since 1988, the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) has hosted this annual event as one way it demonstrates its commitment to the U.S. pork industry. World Pork Expo offers a space for pork producers and industry professionals to network and learn from each other.

Gathering this June in Des Moines, Iowa, we will celebrate the 35th anniversary of World Pork Expo. We welcome you to celebrate with us for an exceptional year of new programming, networking and innovation that will be on display. It will be a time to reflect on our past, celebrate our achievements and look ahead to how our industry will grow and prosper.

The World Pork Expo offers a unique opportunity for pork producers from the U.S. and internationally to network and learn from their peers and colleagues at the world’s largest pork-focused trade show. Programming will include updates on legislative and regulatory successes, along with educational sessions and seminars for producers to continue to maximize the health of their pigs and their businesses.

As a pork producer, I know firsthand that our industry gets farther when we all gather together. World Pork Expo is unlike any other pork industry event. It provides pork producers the opportunity to learn about new ideas, technology, and solutions while networking with their peers.

In addition to creating and strengthening relationships, industry stakeholders will hear from NPPC producer leaders and issue experts on the latest industry policy and legislative priorities. Working on behalf of America’s 66,000 pork producers, NPPC hopes to share the important work it’s doing to develop and defend export markets, fight for reasonable legislation and regulation, and protect the livelihoods of farmers.

The advancements the swine industry has made in technology and animal care allow us to prioritize efficiency and promote sustainability to all of the attendees. No matter what you are looking for — new products, education, networking opportunities, or great barbecue, World Pork Expo has it all. The continued education and collaboration have allowed this industry to overcome challenges and reach new heights throughout the years.

We look forward to celebrating 35 years of pork production with each of you and exploring what lies ahead. World Pork Expo would not be possible without our sponsors’ generous support, which helps ensure a new experience each year.
