Scout: SW Iowa Crop Looks ‘Better Than From The Road’

Scouts along the Western Leg of the Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour are ‘on the homestretch’ as they make their way to Rochester, Minnesota.

However, Southwest Iowa answered some one question for scouts on tour: Will a crop produce in the drought-stricken areas of Iowa?

AgDay and U.S. Farm Report national reporter Betsy Jibben traveled through Fremont and Page counties.

She talks with Roger Cerven, a farmer from Stanton, Iowa; Brad Nelson, a scout and farmer from Albert Lea, Minnesota; Ted Landsteiner, a scout and farmer from Mapleton, Minnesota and Ted Seifried, a market analyst with Zaner Ag Hedge.
