National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) Vice President & Counsel, Global Government Affairs Nick Giordano was among 21 association lobbyists honored with the 2020 Top Lobbyist Award from the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE).
“During the pandemic, many leaders in our profession have done remarkable work to ensure that Washington, DC responded to the public health and economic impacts of COVID-19,” Tommy Goodwin, NILE’s volunteer president, said in a release. “It is great to see NILE bring the lobbying community together to recognize our peers and colleagues who have gone above and beyond, both for those they serve and the profession more broadly.”
Each nominee’s identifying information was redacted from their nomination form and considered via a blind judging process.
“The most rewarding part of my job is to be in the middle of so many important issues on behalf of U.S. pork production, the global leader and a vibrant sector of the U.S. economy,” Giordano said.
