Plans to expand a pig farm in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania are moving forward.

North Newtown supervisors on Tuesday advanced the proposal that would allow farmer Arlin Weaver to add another 2,400 pigs to the 2,400 swine he already has.

WHP-TV reports residents are raising health concerns.

Some residents are worried manure from the farm could threaten the water supply.

A final ruling is expected in 45 days.
