Danisco Animal Nutrition & Health Adds to FeedCalculator App
Danisco Animal Nutrition & Health, a business unit of IFF’s Health & Biosciences division, announces its collaboration with Single Spark, creators of the FeedCalculator app that supports farmers in developing countries generate quality feed rations with locally sourced ingredients at the lowest price.
The addition, Axtra Phy Gold, is a recently released, high-quality phytase enzyme that is more accessible to smallholder farmers and feed mills, according to a release. The enzyme allows formulation of inorganic phosphate-free high phytate diets. It also offers thermostability, performing well under a wide range of pelleting conditions.
The FeedCalculator app is provided to farmers as a service, free of charge.
DSM Animal Nutrition and Health Launches New-Generation Phytase
DSM Animal Nutrition and Health recently announced the availability of HiPhorius, a new, complete phytase solution designed to help swine producers achieve sustainable and profitable protein production, the release states. The product aims to raise the market standard for phytase technology, improving animal performance through efficient phosphorous use.
“We are excited about HiPhorius as it will bring significant benefits to our customers, whether they are looking to optimize diets or get more efficiency from their current diets,” says Peter Allen, DSM North American director of Performance Solutions + Biomin. “Depending on swine management, objectives and choice of enzymes, our customers can see a feed cost reduction of 2% to 4% in swine. That improvement contributes to producers’ profitability and improves the sustainability of livestock production.”
HiPhorius releases fully bioavailable phosphorus, contributing to pig bone strength and nutrient needs. It is now available throughout North America.
