Looking for a fresh start this year? The Pork Checkoff is launching the Fresh Start Wellness Challenge starting Jan. 11 to encourage everyone to take a holistic look at their health – including incorporating lean pork as a protein in a healthy diet.
According to the Pork Checkoff, the challenge will draw attention to pork as part of a healthy lifestyle, while encouraging participants to get active via the Stridekick app for a chance to win free groceries for a year ($4,999.00 value). The challenge will run from Jan. 11 through Feb. 7.
Kara Behlke, director of nutrition and dietetics at the National Pork Board, says the challenge is a way to get more active, have fun with friends, create new habits, beat the winter blahs or just learn something new. During the wellness challenge, the Pork Checkoff team will share tips, inspiration and strategies to help people meet their long-term health goals.
Producers who are not National Pork Board employees, state pork association staff members, or agency partners are also eligible to win the grand prize.
