It’s been a banner year for Drovers and Farm Journal’s PORK. As the year comes to a close, here’s a look back at some of the stories that garnered top honors at the 2023 Livestock Publications Council’s Critique Contest. LPC is an international organization serving the dynamic livestock communications industry.

Jennifer Shike, editor of Farm Journal’s PORK, won a total of eight awards, including the prestigious LPC Writer of the Year. The stories in her winning portfolio include:

Greg Henderson, editorial director of Drovers, won four awards, including:

Both Henderson and Shike are active in LPC leadership roles. Shike currently serves as second vice president of LPC. She leads the Education committee. Henderson serves on the LPC Vision Advisory Council.
