Chore-Time Introduces 52-Inch Diameter Direct-Drive Fan
Chore-Time introduced a 52-inch diameter, direct-drive alternating current fan for the hog industry. The fan, developed and being marketed through CTB’s PigTek Division, offers hog producers high energy efficiency, low maintenance and precision control.
This new Chore-Time fan incorporates the use of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) direct-drive fan technology to provide true fan speed control with high energy-efficiency at slower speeds while still supplying constant torque to the fan blade, according to a company release. The fan provides users with highly-efficient, cool-running motors offering reliable and precise speed control at slower speeds than that available from conventional alternating current and direct current fans.
Producers connecting this PMSM fan to Chore-Time’s PigCentral Control can also remotely monitor each fan’s performance and collect data directly from the individual fan motors, the release explained. Designed specifically for the hog industry, this new Chore-Time fan from PigTek also features corrosion-resistant stainless-steel motor mounts, hardware and non-corrosive fan blades making the fan nearly maintenance-free.
The energy savings available from Chore-Time’s 52-inch diameter fan qualifies the fan for energy rebate programs.
Boehringer Ingelheim Introduces Ingelvac CircoFLEX with DiaTEC
A new purification process called DiaTEC offers new opportunities for users of the Ingelvac CircoFLEX vaccine designed to provide protection against porcine circovirus Type 2 (PCV2). Ingelvac CircoFLEX is now non-virucidal, according to a company release, greatly enhancing the versatility of the vaccine when used as part of 3FLEX, while maintaining the high level of disease protection producers and veterinarians have come to expect from the product.
Boehringer Ingelheim’s DiaTEC process is a unique, patented diafiltration process that is now part of the overall Ingelvac CircoFLEX manufacturing process, the release said. DiaTEC removes residual cell media components from the antigens, or virus-like particles, in the vaccine, resulting in a non-virucidal vaccine that provides producers and veterinarians with the following benefits:
1. When using 3FLEX, producers and veterinarians can now mix the three vaccine components in any order, the release said. It is no longer necessary to adhere to the specific “1-2-3” mixing order, because Ingelvac CircoFLEX is no longer virucidal to the modified-live Ingelvac PRRS MLV component.
2. DiaTEC removes residual baculovirus proteins and cell debris from the virus-like particles, the release explained, without affecting the antigen load, resulting in a highly immunogenic and non-virucidal vaccine that’s now clear in color.
3. The vaccine dosage, administration method and timing, as well as duration and onset of immunity are unchanged, the release noted. Ingelvac CircoFLEX still includes ImpranFLEX™, a proprietary water-based polymer adjuvant that works with virus-like particles to prolong the release of antigens, so the concentrated formulation can provide fast, long-lasting disease protection in one dose.
Zinpro Corporation Promotes Eric Pi to Regional Business Enterprise Manager-China
Zinpro Corporation announced that Eric Pi has been promoted to regional business enterprise manager – China. In this newly created position, Pi is responsible for leading and managing territory sales managers to increase the company’s market share in China and provide Zinpro business and nutritional solutions to customers, according to a company release.
Pi joined Zinpro in July 2012 as a sales account manager and was promoted to ruminant species head in 2016. In 2018, he was promoted to North China sales director. Pi earned a master’s degree in ruminant nutrition from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China.
D&D Ingredient Distributors Announce New Facility in Ohio
D&D Ingredient Distributors, Inc. announces the full-scale operation of its new premix plant at the company headquarters in Delphos, Ohio. The facility features automated micro ingredient proportioning, blending, and precision mixing technology to serve D&D's expanding range of customers, according to a company release. D&D already supplies premixes and blends going into products sold throughout the U.S. and nearly 30 other countries.
The new premix facility consists of highly specialized equipment, including a precision-automated micro-proportioning system and a 4-ton twin-shaft horizontal ribbon-paddle mixer. The system combines precise amounts of vitamins, minerals, and other micro ingredients in homogenous premixes that blend uniformly in manufactured feed or pet food products. Products manufactured by D&D customers support the health, growth, and active life of dairy animals, beef cattle, pigs, poultry, horses, dogs, cats, and many other species, the release said.
