How will the swine industry build resilience in the decade ahead? Futurist Bob Treadway of Treadway & Associates, Inc. will share techniques, methods of thinking and best practices in the opening session at the 2021 Iowa Swine Day. This popular event will be taking place in person on Thursday, June 24 on the Iowa State University campus in Ames, Iowa.
The program, packed with highly regarded industry speakers, will tackle important issues facing U.S. pork producers. Other topics include Proposition 12, price discovery, sustainability, personnel management, foreign animal disease preparation, euthanasia, rendering, water quality, sow longevity, .
Conference organizers said they are building upon the success of past programs by continuing to seek industry input from the planning committee and a wide cross-section of people from the swine industry.

COVID-19 protocols, as required by state, county, city and University policies in effect at the time of the conference, will be followed. At this time, Iowa State University is requiring face coverings while attending the conference.
Video recordings of conference presentations will be available following the conference on the Iowa Pork Industry Center website for those not able to attend.
