The American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) provided an opportunity for 15 out of a field of 37 veterinary students who submitted abstracts for consideration to compete for awards in the Veterinary Student Poster Competition at the 2022 AASV Annual Meeting. United Animal Health sponsored the competition, offering awards totaling $4000.
Top winners included:
$500 scholarship: Courtney Wangler, University of Illinois – Top student poster entitled “Differentiation of H3N2 and H1N2 IAV-S antigenic sites by RT-qPCR ”

In addition to the poster competition awards, each student poster competition participant received a $250 stipend from Zoetis.
