Meghan Cline has joined the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) as director of policy communications. In her role, she will focus on strategies for effectively communicating NPPC’s policy positions to a wide variety of audiences, including producers, lawmakers, the media, and consumers.

“Meghan is a welcome addition to the NPPC communications team,” said NPPC Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications Annemarie Pender. “Her unique blend of industry, federal government, and global corporate experience will be an asset to NPPC.”

Cline most recently served as the director of communications for JBS USA and Pilgrim's. Prior to that, she served as the press secretary and communications director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, under Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kan. She also served as NPPC assistant director of communications.

“I’m eager to advocate for and tell the story of the American pork producer, and I am honored to rejoin the NPPC team,” said Meghan. “The pork industry holds a special place in my heart, and I look forward to applying my new skills to this new role.”

Cline was born and raised in Dalton, Ga., and earned Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Agricultural Communications from the University of Georgia and Oklahoma State University, respectively.
