A semi-trailer hauling 1,900 piglets overturned on Friday near Dayton, Ohio. Body camera footage showed troopers responding to the call, reports WHIO TV 7.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, a call came in around 7:50 p.m. on Nov. 17 that a semi-railer had overturned on the ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound I-70.
A majority of the escaped piglets were found and rounded up by crews and bystanders on scene, reports WDTN Channel 2 News. The pigs were then transferred to another semi-trailer.
Although the driver was not injured, he was cited for failure to control his vehicle. Speed was a factor in the crash, reported WDTN.
The turnover resulted in the ramp closing for about five hours.
Vandalia Police Division, Butler Township Fire Department, Reid Health EMS, Sandy’s Towing and Recovering and Ohio Department of Transportation also assisted with this crash, the article said.
