Hoffman’s Summer Weather Outlook

A hot, dry summer might not be in store for much of the Corn Belt this summer.
According to Mike Hoffman, AgDay and U.S. Farm Report meteorologist, some cool air will make their way through the Midwest to prevent that from happening.
The ever-expanding drought and lack of evaporation in the southern Plains and Southwest will make it hard to reverse the effects of the drought, according to Hoffman.
Throughout the month of May, Hoffman is expecting the Four Corners region to be warmer than normal, and cooler than average temperatures in parts of northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
For the rest of the country, including the Corn Belt, temperatures are expected to stay normal.
