Get Ready for Iowa Pork Congress
Are you headed to Des Moines this week for the 44th annual Iowa Pork Congress? The popular event will be held Jan. 27-28 at the Iowa Events Center.
Weather: Iowa in January is a gamble. I n 2014, a polar vortex brought below-zero temperatures across the region; last year, the area saw a warmer-than-usual weather pattern with temperatures in the 50s. This year, those planning to attend the Iowa Pork Congress can expect temperatures in the mid-30s (on 1/27) to low-40s (on 1/28). In addition to being above freezing, no precipitation is expected for the show. However, those driving up on Monday should expect an 80 percent change of a wintry mix.
