Bob North Named As Chairman’s Award Winner at MO Pork Expo

Francis Forst, chairman of the Missouri Pork Association presented Bob North with the Chairman’s Award during the 2018 Missouri Pork Expo on Feb. 6.

Bob has been involved in the pork industry for over 25 years. His operation includes a 4,000 sow breeding stock unit in Lebanon and Eldon, employing 23 people. He operates over 3,000 acres and owns a 900 head cow herd.

Bob was chairman of the MPA Board of Directors from 2013 to 2014. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Lebanon. His son Travis lives in Texas with his wife, Amanda, and two granddaughters. Bob married Linda Richert in 2016. His family includes Travis and Amanda North and their two children, and Jamie and Jeremy Goforth and their families.

“Bob has been a great advocate for Missouri’s pork industry,” said Forst. “His leadership has helped create a promising future for his fellow pork producers. We look forward to his continued involvement in the industry.”

Each year, the MPA Chairman presents the award to a key individual for their support of the pork industry, the Association and its members.

The 2018 Missouri Pork Expo was held February 6-7 in Columbia. Pork producers from across the state enjoyed a trade show, producer education sessions and guest speakers.
