USDA APHIS recently updated several response plans and templates for the pork industry to utilize in the case of an African swine fever outbreak. Here's a look at what's new.

The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is excited to announce significant advancements in its response plans to tackle African swine fever (ASF) among domestic pigs and feral swine.

These updates stem from close collaborations between various APHIS groups, including the ASF Technical Working Group, Veterinary Services, Wildlife Services, International Services, Plant Protection and Quarantine Preclearance Programs, Emergency Regulatory and Compliance Services, the ASF Harvest Establishment Working Group, and the United States Animal Health Association Swine Committee.
