Andersen Elected President of South Dakota Pork Producers Council
Craig Andersen, a pork producer from Centerville, S.D., has been elected to serve as the 2020 president of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council (SDPPC).
I am honored to have been selected to be the SD Pork Producers President for 2020," Andersen says in a SDPPC press release. "Our hog industry is growing in the state which is enabling many of our young people to come back to the farm. My hope is that we grow our hog industry responsibly and with respect for our neighbors.”
Andersen encourages producers to share their story with others to increase understanding of modern pork production.
"Our staff at the office is exceptional and if you have any questions, please call the office and they are more than willing to answer your questions," he says in the release.
The board also elected Shane Odegaard of Lake Preston as first vice president; Adam Krause of Clear Lake as second vice president. Also elected to serve on the Executive Board were Dan Howell of Volga, Levi Wollman of Ethan, Brent Greenway of Mitchell, and Lenny Gross of Forbes. Robert Rasmussen of Viborg, Justin Rothschadel of Tyndall and Paul Wipf of Frankfort were re-elected to serve a second 3-year term on the SDPPC Executive Board.
