AgDay: Special Presentation from the World Pork Expo

AgDay is dedicating Friday’s entire show to coverage of the World Pork Expo.

This Friday (June 17), AgDay will dedicate its entire show to coverage of the World Pork Expo. The episode includes a show overview and discussion of issues facing the swine industry, which includes trade, feed availability, production costs and GIPSA. AgDay also talks with researchers about a new study involving the potential elimination of salmonella.

Michelle Rook has market analysis with Paragon Economics’ Steve Meyer to discuss the current market situation for swine operators and gives his price predictions through the rest of the year.

Our “In the Country” story profiles an Oklahoma dad and child who lost their home last month in a massive tornado. They also lost some outbuildings, but their herd survived! Despite the disaster, the dad knew how important it was to his child to have his animals compete at the National Junior Show.

And our “Food & Your Family” segment includes grilling tips with National Pork Board Director of Food Service Marketing, Stephen Gerike. He also discusses the latest temperature recommendation for cooking pork.

AgDay airs coast to coast on a network of 130 affiliate stations and on RFD-TV, which begins 7am CT. Of course, we also stream our shows on www.AgDay.com.
