With Lean Carcass Values continuing to gain and averaging $106.16/cwt last week, farrow-to-finish margins posted an average margin of $78.66/head and nearly $9/head over the previous week.
As with the beef industry, pork processors benefited from sales going into Father’s Day weekend with the Pork Cutout averaging $113.36/cwt., up nearly $6/cwt from the previous week.
Pork packer/processor margins returned thinly into black ink ($3.84/head).
