China is continuing to make big imports of feed grains and pork. Numbers released by China’s Customs Administration Sunday shows the country imported 16% more pork in March.

China is continuing to make big imports of feed grains and pork.Numbers released by China’s Customs Administration Sunday shows the country imported 460,000 metric tons of pork last month. That’s a more than 16% jump from year-ago levels.

So far this year, it has brought in 1.16 million metric tons of the meat, which accounts for a 22% year-over-year gain.

Customs data also showed the country imported 1.93 million metric tons of corn just during March, which is a 506% surge from levels posted a year-ago.
