Justin Wong Joins BinSentry Team
BinSentry has hired Justin Wong to serve as vice president of corporate development.
With more than 14 years of experience across the ag-tech sector, corporate finance, M&A, and scaling businesses, Justin will lead strategic initiatives that support BinSentry’s growth, including corporate strategy, business development, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and capital planning.
A finance graduate of the University of Minnesota, Wong began his career in investment banking at Piper Jaffray, advising companies across agriculture, biologicals, renewable energy and industrial markets. Prior to joining BinSentry, he spent nearly a decade at Indigo Ag, where he led corporate development and strategic finance initiatives. He was responsible for more than $975 million of equity and debt financings, and led execution of acquisitions, carve-outs, strategic partnerships and new business creation.

IDEAL Animal Nutrition Adds Staff, Expands Research Facilities
IDEAL Animal Nutrition is expanding its expert team and enhancing research capabilities, furthering its mission to provide industry-leading nutritional insights and practical support. Craig Maloney and Clayton Chastain joined the IDEAL Animal Nutrition team in March 2026.
Maloney, formerly president of a family-owned swine operation in southern Minnesota, serves as swine nutritionist, supporting and advising producers throughout the southern Corn Belt and High Plains. Chastain, previously production manager of research operations for a swine veterinary clinic and management service, serves as swine research nutritionist, managing IDEAL Animal Nutrition’s research efforts in Minnesota and serving customers across the Eastern Corn Belt.
“We’re excited to add Craig and Clayton to the team to better support our customers across the Midwest,” Jeff Knott, founder and owner, IDEAL Animal Nutrition, says in a release. “Our goal has always been to provide customized nutrition solutions that help our customers meet their operational goals; Craig and Clayton bring that to the team and more.”
As part of the company’s long-term strategy, Knott added that Simon Kern has been promoted to managing director, adding to his existing role as swine nutritionist.
Keeping growth top of mind, IDEAL Animal Nutrition also is expanding its research capabilities, adding a new 3,300 head wean-to-finish commercial research barn near its current research facility in Tracy, Minn.
“Since 2014, our customers have trusted our expertise and guidance when it comes to delivering customized, innovative swine nutrition solutions,” Simon Kern, managing director, IDEAL Animal Nutrition, says in a release. “Our new facility will help us broaden that expertise and know-how, moving our knowledge base forward more rapidly and providing more practical and applied nutritional information to our clients.”
Iowa Pork Names Sadie Heath Programs and Events Manager
The Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) announces Sadie Heath as its new programs and events manager. She will help coordinate IPPA programs and events that connect Iowa pig farmers with fellow producers, industry partners and consumers.
Heath grew up on her family’s third-generation dairy farm near Tony, Wis., where she and her four siblings represent the fourth generation of the family operation. Her great-grandfather moved from Sioux City, Iowa, to Wisconsin in 1940 and settled at the farm’s current location in 1942.
In addition to its dairy herd, the family raises beef cattle and grows cash crops. Pigs have also been part of Sadie’s agricultural experience, with her family raising a small group each year for their own freezer.
“Growing up on the farm taught me the value of hard work and gave me a strong appreciation for agriculture and the people who make it possible,” Heath says in a release. “I’m excited to join the Iowa Pork Producers Association, learn more about the pork industry and put my education and agricultural background to work.”
Heath graduated from Iowa State University in three years with double majors in agricultural communication and international agriculture and a minor in public relations. Her college experience also gave her a global perspective on agriculture and food production through three study-abroad opportunities in Italy, France and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
