Hagen Named Vita Pus Swine Nutritionist and Technical Salesperson
Chloe Hagen recently joined the Vita Plus team as a swine nutritionist and technical salesperson. Hagen will primarily focus on serving swine producers in the Illinois and Wisconsin market area. She will help producers select practical nutrition and management strategies to reach their production goals, while contributing technical leadership and expertise to the Vita Plus swine team, the company said in a release.

Hagen attended Iowa State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences. She furthered her education at Iowa State and pursued a master’s degree in animal science. While working on her master’s degree, Hagen’s research focused on the compensatory growth of finishing pigs. She then pursued a Ph.D. in which her research was focused on the interaction between nutrition and health of E.coli challenged pigs. Hagen published six peer reviewed publications and received the Iowa State University Graduate College Research Excellence Award.

Hagen is dedicated to addressing the concerns of swine producers by bridging the gap between scientific research and slat-level production. Her extensive research in swine nutrition will aid the Vita Plus swine team in providing producers with innovative solutions to make the most profitable pig.
