Rod Hutcheson Joins Sales Team at BioZyme Inc.
Rod Hutcheson, Bowling Green, Ky., has joined the team at BioZyme Inc., as the Animal Health Business Development Manager. In his role, he will leverage his experience in animal health sales and his relationships to cultivate sales of BioZyme’s small pack products and create new distribution channels.
“I’m really looking forward to the growth opportunity and being a part of the team here at BioZyme while being back in the animal health space,” Hutcheson said in a company release. “There are some pretty good people involved in agriculture in this country.”
Hutcheson has three decades of health sales and management experience, having spent 21 years at Pfizer. He also worked at Norbrook, Bayer and AGDATA. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Kentucky University.
As the Animal Health Business Development Manager, Hutcheson will focus his attention on the small pack products that BioZyme makes that work synergistically with the animal’s overall health and well-being. He will use his existing network and create new relationships to grow the distribution channels for these products as well as market the tolling opportunities available.
Boehringer Ingelheim Announces Sharon Holt as Director of Marketing for U.S. Swine and Poultry
Boehringer Ingelheim announces the appointment of Sharon Holt to Director of Marketing for U.S. Swine and Poultry. Holt has more than 19 years of leadership experience and an intrinsic knowledge of the Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health business across manufacturing, supply chain and commercial functions.
In this new role, Holt will lead the marketing teams for both the swine and poultry divisions and work closely with U.S. and global leadership.
Holt started her career at Boehringer Ingelheim in 2002 as a laboratory technician at the Athens, Ga., vaccine manufacturing and research site, and since then has held roles within the Poultry and Pet divisions and U.S. Commercial Operations. In her most recent role, Holt was responsible for leading the Commercial Supply Chain Group’s Customer Care team, which is focused on creating positive experiences for Boehringer Ingelheim customers.
“Sharon has played an essential role in building Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health’s reputation for supporting the health and well-being of animals,” Lara Sheeley, Executive Director of the U.S. swine and poultry divisions, said in a release.
Oklahoma Pork Council Announces Hire of Ashton Mese Johnston
The Oklahoma Pork Council has named Ashton Mese Johnston as industry relations manager. Johnston previously served as the press secretary and policy associate for the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General.
Prior to working at the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General, Johnston spent time in Washington, D.C., where she worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture as a professional staff member and legislative assistant, and for the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies as a congressional staff member. She started her career at the Office of the Oklahoma Governor in 2012.
Johnston grew up in Kingfisher, Okla. She received her bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications and agribusiness from Oklahoma State University, where she graduated first in her class. She was also named Outstanding Senior during her time at OSU. She currently resides in Cashion with her husband, Dylan.
