BinSentry Launches New ProSense HD Platform for Commercial Grain Inventory Management
BinSentry announced the launch of ProSense HD, a new, artificial intelligence-powered inventory management platform aimed at commercial grain handlers and feed mills.
Having recently hit a market penetration milestone with over 25,000 poultry and swine feed bins monitored daily, with 1,500 new additional bins being added to its network every month, BinSentry said in a release that it is now bringing their proprietary technology to industrial-scale grain and inventory storage bins.
ProSense HD delivers precise, real-time inventory monitoring, so operators always know what is in their commercial bins and silos at any moment in time. This inventory monitoring is carried out using high-definition 3D sensors that are designed to see past dust and debris, the companysaid.
Paired with these 3D sensors is BinSentry’s proprietary, AI-enhanced software, which can provide a wide range of data, management information and insights. Operators can use ProSense HD data to identify and manage issues such as inventory theft and shrinkage, demurrage and outages. Grain transport can also be more efficiently scheduled, the release said.
Once ProSense HD is installed, employees no longer need to climb ladders to manually check inventories, which greatly reduces the risk of serious injuries and fatalities from falls, BinSentry said. AgMonitor Platform Helps Farms Achieve Sustainability at Lower Cost
The California Energy Commission (CEC) recently published the project report by AgMonitor Inc. on “Programmable Irrigation and Fertigation to Increase Energy Efficiency and Grid Stability in Disadvantaged Agricultural Communities.” The AI-powered platform integrates multiple data sets and domain expertise to boil down complex processes, such as scheduling irrigation or maintaining solar panels, into simple answers in English or Spanish across farming operations, AgMonitor said in a release.
Farms in California have faced increases in their cost for water, labor, electricity and fertilizer since 2020. Because of this, finding cost-effective solutions to help farms remain productive and competitive is vital for California’s continued growth and success, AgMonitor said. Farm sites that participated in the AgMonitor project from 2019 to 2023 improved precision in irrigation from 70% on average to over 90%.
