Iowa Select Farms announced the appointment of Nick McCulley as the company’s new president. McCulley joins the team with a 22-year track record in the swine production industry, bringing extensive expertise in strategic planning, financial performance, operational excellence and fostering collaborative work environments.
Jeff Hansen, CEO of Iowa Select Farms, will continue to lead the company, with McCulley reporting directly to him.
“Nick is passionate about our mission and values,” Hansen said in a release. “We are confident that his leadership will be instrumental in advancing our vision and driving our company’s success.”
Previously as global supply chain director at PIC, McCulley led elite genetic production and managed key teams in nutrition, health services, breed-to-wean and wean-to-market. Before his tenure at PIC, he was the chief operating officer of M2P2, LLC, overseeing sow operations in Colorado, Oklahoma and North Carolina and finishing operations in Iowa, producing 1.3 million pigs annually.
Raised within the Tri-Oak Foods production system in Oakville, Iowa, McCulley brings a deep-rooted understanding of the industry. Tri-Oak Foods, a 70,000-farrow-to-finish operation founded by his extended family, is now merged with JBS.
He holds a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from Iowa State University.
