Distynct is partnering with Hog Slat to offer farmers the opportunity to purchase the Distynct Smart Alarm System from Hog Slat retail locations and through their sales representatives, the company announced on Oct. 3.
According to a release, this alarm system will empower farmers an advanced smart alarm system that will enhance barn management.
“Our alarm system delivers reliable, real-time alerts that help prevent costly disruptions that your current alarm system might miss,” explained BJ Brugman, Founder and CEO of Distynct. “Together with Hog Slat, we aim to expand the accessibility of cutting edge technology and deliver innovative solutions that make barn management simpler and more efficient.”
The Distynct Smart Alarm allows farmers to upgrade outdated barn alarms and gain 24/7/365 remote visibility of their operations, the release noted. The system monitors water, temperature and power, putting vital barn conditions at the fingertips of the farmer via a mobile app. The farmer is not only notified about barn conditions, such as temperature being too hot or cold, but they have real-time and historical data viewable on a mobile app to understand the severity and urgency of the alarm.
The collaboration between Distynct and Hog Slat reflects a shared vision of empowering farmers with cutting-edge technology that enhances animal welfare and operational efficiency, the companies said in the release.
