Pork packer margins showed a positive gain to average an estimated of $8.27/head (Sterling). The Pork Cutout averaged $114.51/cwt. compared to $112.94/cwt. the prior week while the Lean Carcass Price was weaker and averaging $104.84/cwt. for the week compared to $107.75/cwt. the prior week.
Consequently, farrow-finish margins were somewhat weaker and averaged an estimated (Sterling) $75.59/head compared to $81.69/head the prior week.
