At $88 per head and a breakeven price of $65/cwt, farrow-to-finish margins last week averaged close to the prior week while packer margins did see some improvement, albeit limited, with a margin closer to breakeven and black ink.
The Pork Cutout gained just over $2/cwt to average $115.34/cwt as consumers direct some focus to the other end of the meat case to buy pork items.
