Seven Iowa high school football players took home awards recognizing their play during the final games at the 2021 Iowa high school state football championships Nov. 18-19 at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.

Starbeck’s Smokehouse earned the sweet taste of victory for receiving the most votes in the social media contest, Pulled Pork Madness, presented by the Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA).
Competition is heating up to find the best pulled pork sandwich in IPPA’s Pulled Pork Madness. “It’s just a great way to remind folks that restaurants in all parts of Iowa have pork on the menu,” said Hannah Spurr.
Iowa counties with organized and active local pork groups were recognized at the 2022 Iowa Pork Congress for their efforts in 2021 to grow membership and increase local activities.
These women and men involved in Iowa’s pork industry are both enthusiastic, promote pork and pig production, as well as provide leadership to their county organizations.
