         is among the groups who sent the letter and is encouraging members to let them know how the strike will impact their businesses.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;Background:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;A port strike along the East and Gulf coasts began on Oct. 1 and will halt the flow of a wide range of goods, potentially leading to shortages and higher costs.
