The Midwest Cover Crops Council, with the University of Illinois Extension, will be holding its annual meeting in Springfield, Ill., Feb. 20-21. The theme is, “Cover Crops and Soil Health: The Practical Way Forward.”
It’s difficult for any business to remain profitable for nearly 140 years, but brothers Kent and Barry Holden, of Holden Farms in Northfield, Minn., run one of the largest pork operations in the country.
It’s obvious the five members of the fifth generation at Holden Farms are comfortable with one another, and their father-owners. A friendly camaraderie permeates the meeting room where they gather to share ideas.
