Turn it Up: Your Spring Farmer Playlist

Here’s five songs and four podcasts to add to your #plant19 playlist: ( MGN )

It’s planting season, so that means all hands are on deck and there will be plenty of time in the tractor cab. Do you have your ear buds and phone chargers ready? Here’s five country songs and five podcasts to add to your #plant19 playlist:

1. “God’s Country” by Blake Shelton

“We pray for rain and thank Him when it's fallin'
'Cause it brings a grain and a little bit of money”

Blake Shelton returns to a traditional country sound with his latest release. A strong voice and a tractor on fire … all the makings of a country song.

2. Girl Goin’ Nowhere by Ashley McBryde

“Not bad for a girl goin' nowhere”

Newcomer Ashley McBryde brings her songwriter approach to her debut single and it works. Check her at a fair or festival this summer, or opening for King George.

3. “God and Country Music” by George Strait

“God and country music are like whiskey and a prayer”

No, George Strait didn’t retire, he just doesn’t tour as much. He debuted this latest song from his new album, Honky Tonk Time Machine, during the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards on CBS April 7th.

4. “The Snake” by Eric Church

“Rattlesnake, Copperhead, Either one of them'll kill you dead”

Famous for mystery, Eric Church released his new song during the ACMS—and we’ll bet there’s more than one interpretation listeners will have of the song.

5. “Can’t Hide Red” by Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean

“Don't you know we were born this way”

If you like a little rock in your anthem song, you’ll like this new release from FGL and Jason Aldean.
