PETA has Killed 38,000 Animals Since 1998

For professing to love and protect animals, members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sure kill a lot of them. The group has euthanized 38,000 animals since 1998.

The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) reports that, according to documents filed last week by PETA with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), its “animal shelter” killed 1,809 adoptable pets in 2017. Of the 2,513 animals in custody at PETA’s headquarters in Norfolk, VA, last year, 330 dogs and 255 cats were transferred to other shelters, and only 27 dogs and 17 cats were adopted. PETA euthanized 596 dogs and 1,213 cats.

View PETA’s public report here.

“PETA’s kill rate stands out an alarming 74%,” said CCF in a news release. “While other Virginia shelters won’t have to turn in their numbers until the end of February, last year the euthanization rate at comparable private shelters was only 9.4% and the overall state average was 17.3%.”

An inspection of PETA’s records by the state found that PETA kills the vast majority of animals within 24 hours—“not even giving them a chance to find a new home,” says CCF.

That policy is not in accordance with state law, which requires a five-day grace period. The organization found this out the hard way in 2014, when it apprehended the Zarate family’s pet Chihuahua, Maya, reportedly from the family’s front porch. The dog was put down the day it was taken. PETA subsequently paid a $500 fine, and last year, paid a settlement of nearly $50,000 to the Zarate family.

While PETA said it was “a terrible mistake,” Will Coggin, CCF director of research, says PETA co-founder and president Ingrid Newkirk “has made disturbing remarks against pet ownership” in the past.

According to Coggin, Newkirk has said, “Pet ownership is an absolutely abysmal situation brought about by human manipulation” and, “I think it would be lovely if we stopped this whole notion of pets altogether.”

“PETA is running a slaughterhouse under the guise of an animal shelter,” said Coggin. “You can’t spell ‘death penalty’ without ‘PETA.’”

The notorious front group for the meat industry quoted in this article has long tried to smear PETA and other animal protection groups look bad in an attempt to distract from the real issues. See http://www.petakillsanimalsscam.com/. Unlike the industries this group represents--which kill animals painfully, so they can make money by selling their flesh--PETA is a shelter of last resort for animals who need euthanasia to end their suffering (many of whom have been rejected by other facilities because euthanizing them would make their “numbers” look bad). This includes dogs who are aggressive and unadoptable because they have been kept chained their entire lives; feral cats dying of contagious diseases; animals who are wracked with cancer; elderly animals who have no quality of life and whose desperate guardians brought them to PETA because they can’t afford to pay a vet to euthanize them; and the list goes on. Euthanasia is a kindness for animals who are suffering beyond hope and have nowhere else to turn. PETA refers healthy, adoptable animals to local shelters and has also found excellent, lifelong homes for many animals themselves. Please watch this short video to see some of the animals PETA has helped in its community: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG0sh6rpC14.

How many pigs have your morally bankrupt friends killed since 1998?

Eric, Are you high or drunk? I suppose you don’t eat meat either? PETA causes most of our problems today in the livestock industry

It's been known for years that peta kills the pets they petnap from innocent pet owners that don't abuse their pets. They have stated that their budget doesn't allow them to care for these poor pets more than a couple of days. They stated that the largest part of their budget is spent on commercials they make with celebrities!

While most believe the cardinals will trade up for the quarterback, cheap jerseys wholesale the cardinals run David Johnson, who is already satisfied with the situation.

The all-pro sprinter said he believes the cardinals' offensive is expected to return to the 2015

"As long as Bradford stays healthy, we're going to be very good," Johnson said on Wednesday morning on the radio show. Personally, I have seen many of his best qualities in the video, NFL Sunglasses and the key is to stay healthy.

"With the addition of Bradford, the new offensive line, St.Louis Rams Jersey the take-over and all the other new players are key. I believe the cardinals will be in the league next season.

The performance of Bradford in the opening game of the 2017 season (346 yards, 346 yards) was impressive. Even when the vikings were not strong enough to attack in 2016, he got a good result: a 71.6 percent pass, and a 20+ yard accuracy rate.

They say it’s tough to wholesale baseball jersers hit in cold weather. We know it’s tough to hit Max Scherzer and Corey Kluber. Mix the two together and you get this:

Scherzer: 9 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 10 SO

Kluber: 8 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 13 SO

On a 45-degree night in Washington, Scherzer spun his fifth career shutout while facing just one batter over the minimum. It seems weird that it’s only his fifth shutout, but that’s because three blue ervin santana authentic jersers of miami marlins jersers the first four were so memorable, all happening in 2015. He had atlanta braves jersers a one-hitter with 16 strikeouts against the Brewers; the near-perfect game against the Pirates, lost with a hit batter with two outs los angeles angels of anaheim jersers in the ninth; blue ervin santana authentic jersers and the 17-strikeout no-hitter against the Mets, another near-perfect game, marred only by an error.

On Monday night, the Nationals ace carved up the Braves in a 2-0 miami marlins jersers victory, working rapidly and efficiently, and appeared to get stronger as the game progressed, striking out two in the seventh and two more in the ninth, including Ender Inciarte with a 95-mph fastball to end it.

“You can’t get too caught up los angeles angels of anaheim jersers in trying to pitch a complete game because that’s hard to do,” Scherzer said. “You’re just trying to go out there and give seven innings. Seven innings and blue mookie betts authentic jersers 105 pitches, that’s a good outing.”

It was Scherzer’s 17th career start with no runs and at least 10 strikeouts. Since his debut, only Clayton Kershaw, with 21, has more such games. He also added his first career stolen base, swiping second in the eighth inning and joking that he had asked previous managers Matt Williams and Dusty Baker for the green light. It was actually a smart play in a 2-0 game. Scherzer’s gem ended a five-game losing skid miami marlins jersers that had left the Nationals at 4-5 -- the first time they had been under .500 since Aug. 21, 2015.

In his third start of the season, Corey Kluber picked up his first win, blanking the Tigers over eight innings. Ken Blaze/USA TODAY Sports
Kluber entered his start without a win in two outings, even though he had basically made one mistake in each start -- both mistakes ended up as two-run home runs, by Nelson Cruz and Shohei Ohtani -- but a lack of run support left him with a loss and a no-decision. Kluber got only two runs to beat the Tigers on a 33-degree night in Cleveland, but that’s all he needed. The interesting aspect to this game was Kluber often pitched backward, especially with two strikes, going with his two-seamer instead of his wipeout curveball or cutter/slider. Eight of his strikeouts came with the sinker, seven of those looking.

Austin and Kelly each threw punches in the ensuing philadelphia phillies jersers blue ervin santana authentic jersers fracas, prompting their ejections.
Yankees third-base coach Phil Nevin and reliever Tommy Kahnle were also tossed; Nevin said that he had been jawing at the Red Sox's dugout, while Kahnle blue ervin santana authentic jersers said he was incensed after having been pushed by an umpire.
Kelly claimed the pitch had been an inside fastball that got away.
He left the field with his uniform jersey torn and spots of blood on his neck, while Austin sported a bloody lip.
"I was ready to defend myself," said Kelly.wholesale baseball jersers
"Someone comes in my property in my backyard? I have two dogs.
Ready to come on my property and I'm being attacked, then I'm ready to defend myself."
Aaron Judge had sprinted to the center of the pile, where he attempted to play peacemaker, pulling Kelly off Austin.
"I saw Kelly was on top of Tyler after he tried to tackle him, so my job was just to get Kelly up atlanta braves jersers and get him off," Judge said.
"No one ever likes getting hit with 98 to the back.
Everybody was pretty upset about it."
Cameras also captured Austin landing a punch on the head of Red Sox third-base coach Carlos Febles.
Austin acknowledged that he had thrown punches.
"I'm just trying to defend myself, man.
That's all that was," Austin said.
Tempers initially flared in the third inning, when Austin slid hard into second washington nationals jersers base on a Tyler Wade fielder's choice, his spikes connecting with Boston shortstop los angeles angels oakland athletics jersers of anaheim jersers Brock Holt.
Words were exchanged between Austin and Holt, which prompted the bullpens and miami marlins jersers benches to empty.
"I probably said something I shouldn't have to start the whole thing," Holt said.
"I'm sorry for that.
I just wanted him to know it was a bad slide.
I think everyone on the field knows that it was."
Replays showed that Austin miami marlins jersers had his left foot pointing up as he slid into Holt's right foot, with third baseman Rafael Devers having fielded Wade's bunt swiftly.
Holt said that his right calf was sliced by Austin's spikes, but Austin maintained that it was a fine play.
"I felt like my slide into second base was a clean slide," Austin said.
"I play the chicago white sox jersers los angeles angels of anaheim jersers game hard.
I thought there was absolutely nothing wrong with that slide.
I had no thought that they were going to throw at me."
That situation was diffused quickly.
Heath Hembree struck out Austin in the fifth inning, and with the Yankees leading by four runs, Kelly opened their seventh-inning showdown with a slider that went for a chicago white sox jersers swinging strike.
"You don't need to drill him for that [slide]," Giancarlo Stanton said, "and if you're going to do it, do it on the first pitch."
The next pitch was a high and inside fastball, and Austin said he considered that it had been a purpose pitch.
"After that pitch, it had crossed my mind, but I thought it was over after that," Austin said.
"He missed with the first one.
Once that happens, it's kind of over."
Kelly followed with a slider that missed the strike zone, and Austin was plunked by the 2-1 offering, discarding his batting helmet and tumbling toward Kelly onto the infield grass.
"The kid that charged the mound, he had his reasons," Red Sox manager Alex Cora said.
"But if you take a look at the game, we're coming back and we're short on pitching.
I don't know.
You've just got to kansas city royals jersers pay attention to the game and you judge by yourself."
