Do black hot dogs pass the taste test?

According to Yahoo! News, Vegas Premium Hot Dogs in Tokyo, Japan, has seen its popularity soar thanks to an unlikely menu item: Black Terra Hot Dog.

Make no mistake – the restaurant"s distinctly-colored, all-pork hot dog is the color of black charcoal throughout. Even the bun maintains the dingy coloring.

The nearly foot long oddity is made using edible bamboo charcoal powder, a popular food dye in the region.

As for how it tastes, one reviewer commented, "the first bite was kind of vomit-inducing because it was really much sweeter than I was expecting."
