Animal Agriculture Alliance Hires Emily Solis as Communications Specialist
The Animal Agriculture Alliance has hired Emily Solis as communications specialist, and she began on May 11. She will work to execute the Alliance’s issues management and communications strategy, according to a company release.
Solis joins the Alliance team from her previous role as communications manager at Maryland Farm Bureau, where she communicated legislative and regulatory updates to Maryland farm families. She managed the organization’s social media channels, website, member publications, and worked closely with the government relations director to manage issues of concern. Solis also brings experience in public relations, marketing, and brand management, the release says.
Prior to her work at Maryland Farm Bureau, Solis held several internships within the animal agriculture industry, including serving as the communications intern for the Alliance in 2017. She also interned at the University of Maryland’s beef and dairy research farms.
Piergiorgio Persona Joins Zinpro Corporation as Country Manager – Italy
Zinpro Corporation, a maker of trace mineral nutrition for livestock, poultry, aquaculture and companion animals, has announced that Piergiorgio Persona has joined the company as country manager – Italy. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction in Italy across all species and products, according to a company release.
Mr. Persona was most recently employed as a key account manager, with marketing and office oversight in Italy, by a global animal nutrition and veterinary pharmaceutical company. His work experience also includes roles as a vitamin and mineral premix formulator for dairy and swine, and as a technical and scientific advisor for disinfectants, essential oils and flavonoids. He has a degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Bologna, Italy, and has authored and co-authored several research publications related to animal health and nutrition.
